I am a fairly avid runner and one issue that myself and many others seem to have is finding a really good, comfortable pair of running shoes that can offer the kind of support that’s required, along with the comfort for regular use. Yes we can try on a pair in the shop, have a little stroll about for a few minutes getting in the way of the other customers and they feel alright. But, when we go for our first proper run in them they just don’t feel right. So I’m out to find a pair of shoes that can provide what I need straight out of the box, here’s what I found:

No Two Walks Are the Same
There is something that people call a neutral gait, however most people’s gait seems to be a little to the outside or the inside of the foot. This can be a problem when using any shoes but is exaggerated in the excessiveness of a running shoe. The ASICS GT 2150 Running Shoe deals with this issue by using an Impact Guidance System that reinforces your foot’s natural gait from when it makes contact with the ground until your toe leaves it.
Fallen Arches
Many people suffer from arch problems in the middle of there feet and even for those that don’t, if enough support is not provided in this area it may become an issue. These shoes incorporate something called a Space Trusstic System which gives great support to this area and helping the normal function of the feet.
Lighter The Better
The last thing anyone wants when they’re running is any extra weight on the bottom of their feet. Over the years running shoes have obviously addressed this issue and have become lighter and lighter. The ASICS GT 2150 are no exception. The Solyte Midsole Material they use is extremely lightweight whilst still providing excellent bounce-back, cushioning and durability.
First Contact
The first point of contact between your foot and the ground when running is the heel. This area of the shoe will take the most force and abuse when running and as a result wear the quickest. On the ASICS GT 2150 a special High Abrasion Resistant Rubber is used to provide grip and durability.

Any Complaints?
To my great surprise I really couldn’t find any complaints about these shoes. An extreme rarity in life but the masses seem to be in agreement that these are one of the best running shoes on the market.
Running Shoe of the Year
So overall there was absolutely nothing negative to be said for this running shoe. It provides both great comfort and stability, and durability and grip. I’ll be giving them a go for sure.
